Hi, I am Sơn Trúc, a senior at Phan Đình Phùng high school. I enjoy tinkering with art under the analytical lens of an engineer.

More specifically, the material science, chemistry, thermal physics, and kiln engineering of ceramic firing complement my artisanship—plein-air painting, sketching, and analog photography. These liberal and creative methods of learning enrich my empirical knowledge of physics as the foundation of our natural world.

In addition to mechanical systems of constructing form and space, ceramics and fine arts enable my translation of Vietnamese cultural landscape into tactile artifacts.
